«A Broadcast Television Journalists Association revelou os vencedores aos Critics' Choice Television Awards 2013 e como habitual incluiu algumas surpresas. The Big Bang Theory foi a principal vencedora, recebendo prémios em três categorias incluindo Melhor Comédia. Já Game of Thrones e Breaking Bad empataram na categoria de Melhor Série Dramática.

Surpresas na categoria de Melhor Actriz em Drama para Tatiana Maslany por Orphan Black, assim como Michael Cudlitz em Southland como Melhor Actor Secundário em Drama e Monica Potter em Parenthood como Melhor Actriz Secundária em Drama.
